PTSA General Meeting - 10/28 at 6pm

Welcoming all parents, teachers, and students to join our community at the upcoming PTSA meeting on Tuesday, 10/28 at 6pm in the ARS Library. In addition to the PTSA agenda, Ms O'Donnell will join us to talk about the Math Tutoring Center, which is available to help support students in building strength and confidence in math.

Proposed Changes In AISD
Many of you have likely heard about school consolidations, boundary changes, and changes to specific programs at AISD as proposed by the AISD administration. While the current proposal doesn’t directly impact the Ann Richards School, we must as a community, and especially in accordance with our mission statement, pay attention and use our voices as leaders to advocate for public education and our larger community.
There is a threat of a takeover by the TEA as soon as next year unless schools can meet thresholds decided by the TEA. It’s time to VOTE!
Several important propositions to amend the Texas Constitution are on this year’s November ballot, and your vote matters more than ever. Depending on your area, you might be voting for propositions, council members, school trustees, or your representation at the Capitol.
