The ARS Dad’s Club is an informal organization of important male figures in the lives of the students at the Ann Richards School. An email group is used to keep our “Dads” informed of upcoming family events and opportunities to participate in our unique school and its community. Your comments, suggestions and feedback are welcome.

Please welcome Andy Salas (Isabella’s dad – 8th) and Gary Stroud (Greta’s dad – 6th), who have stepped up to take over Dad’s Club. Andy and Gary are seasoned veterans of past Dad’s Club activities and bring new energy to our 8 year-old club. The relationship between our Dad’s Club and the extended ARS family will continue to grow under the leadership of Andy and Gary, and maybe in the future you too! Dad’s Club was founded to provide fun and low stress opportunities to support the amazing school that we are all fortunate to have our daughters attend. It takes a village to make it all work, thank you for being part of the ARS village.

Wake your daughter up reasonably early and come help beautify our campus at these PTSA Dad’s Club sponsored work days. Students earn service hours, family are welcome too. Tools, snacks and drinks will be provided. Work days are on Saturdays from 9-12, we will cancel if there is bad weather.

  • October 28th – The first work day of the school year, so there will plenty to do. We’ll be building a paver stone base for Art Teacher Mr. Smith’s outdoor kiln, preparing the monarch butterfly gardens with STARS Teacher Ms. Warner and general weeding and cleaning up. Wear clothes and shoes to get dirty in!
  • December 2nd – The weather can be hit or miss this time of the year. If it is reasonably nice weather we’ll do some pruning and clean-up, so bring some trimming tools if you have them.
